Owners of businesses and public properties in Washington, D.C., are responsible for maintaining the safety of their premises. Delayed diagnosis allegedly results in traumatic brain injury

Residents of Washington, D.C., and, indeed, all people across the nation need to be able to rely on prompt and accurate health care diagnoses. In fact, in many instances, a delayed diagnosis can prove not only severely detrimental but fatal. An embolism is a blood clot which has broken loose from one of the deep veins in an individual's legs and then travels to the person's heart and lungs. For patients in Washington, D.C., or anywhere in the world, a vena cava filter can prove lifesaving. Unfortunately, in a case in another state, a woman who had the device installed has had less than successful results and, subsequently, filed a defective product lawsuit against the manufacturer.

Pharmacies err with up to 2 percent of prescription medication

If Washington, D.C. is similar to the rest of the nation, many of its residents have been prescribed drugs by their health care providers. This means that billions of people in the U.S. rely on pharmacists to provide them with their prescription medication. One woman in another state is claiming that her pharmacy failed to do that.

Car companies may have used defective product despite known risks

Residents of Washington, D.C. may have been affected by a dangerous product that has killed almost a dozen people and seriously injured nearly 200 more across the nation. An overseas company, Takata, has been involved in an ongoing lawsuit over its air bags. Recent allegations have surfaced that also seem to incriminate a number of major auto companies as well, claiming they were aware of the risks involved with using the defective product but continued to do so anyway.
