5 people sent to hospital following a 3-vehicle crash

Multivehicle crashes can be incredibly dangerous to the people involved, and they tend to lead to multiple injuries and possibly fatalities. If you've been in a collision with more than one vehicle, you know that the first collision isn't often the last. As the initial strike takes place, another vehicle may collide, causing both to be struck again. The first impact may cause whiplash, broken bones, or other injuries, for instance, but a second could shatter windows, cause secondary bruising or burns, or result in head or neck injuries more serious than the first.

Your attorney can help you seek compensation if you've been involved in a multivehicle crash like the one that took place in Northeastern Washington, D.C. According to a report from Nov. 21, the crash took place when a police cruiser, SUV, and taxi struck. It was stated that the crash forced the police cruiser through a store window near the roadway, while the taxi then collided with a light pole.

Following the collision, at least five people had to be hospitalized. Not all the victims have been named, but the news reports that two police officers and three others were taken to the hospital for medical treatment. All the injuries were reported as non-life threatening.

Following an accident like this one, liability and fault have to be established. So far, no one has been named as the party at fault, however, the cause of the accident is still being investigated as of the time of the news release.
