Truck accident results in injuries for 1 in Washington, D.C.

According to an article from Jan. 5 out of Washington, D.C., a food truck was the cause of an accident that took place in a parking garage in Northwest D.C. This accident resulted in the injury of one person, the report indicated.

The story claims that the food truck, which was too large for the parking garage at 9th and O Street NW, hit the other vehicle, a truck with a lift up in the air, at around 8:00 a.m. Unfortunately, while the drivers were not injured, someone was in the lift. That person was injured and had to be removed from the lift by rescue crews.

The DC Fire and EMS reported that the person did suffer from serious injuries, but they were not expected to be life-threatening wounds. The victim had to be taken to the hospital at around 10:00 a.m. that morning.

This crash could have been prevented if the driver of the larger vehicle hadn't tried to go into a garage the truck was too big for. Situations like this are a sign of negligence in many cases, as signs are mounted to show how tall your vehicle can be and still fit inside.

If you've been involved in a car or truck accident recently, you know that the injuries you've suffered can't be taken back. There is no amount of money that can "fix" you or what happened. Despite that, it's important to consider ways to get the compensation you need to cover your bills and medical treatment. You were not the cause of this accident, so you shouldn't be the one who has to pay for it.
