A potentially dangerous toddler toy has not yet been recalled

If you are the parent or loved one of a toddler, you may have seen the Fisher-Price Soothe & Glow Seahorse on store shelves. This cute and cuddly seahorse glows and plays ocean sounds and music after toddlers give the seahorse a squeeze. This sounds like the perfect gift for a little one, doesn't it?

Unfortunately, these adorable toys are actually the subject of investigations, horrific consumer reviews and a public outcry to recall current models. The extremely popular Fisher-Price Soothe & Glow Seahorse is being reviewed as a defective product that can start smoking and become incredibly hot when adults attempt to change the toy's batteries.

This toy has become the subject of numerous complaints to both Fisher-Price and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), yet the toy has yet to be recalled. Every day, countless additional parents buy this toy off store shelves assuming that it is safe for them and their toddlers to handle.

Unfortunately, this situation is a perfect illustration of the fact that not all dangerous or potentially defective products are pulled from the market as quickly as they should be. Fisher-Price recently released a statement insisting that it is addressing the situation, yet no modifications or recalls have been announced.

If you or your child has been harmed by this seahorse toy, do not hesitate to send complaints to the CPSC and Fisher-Price in addition to consulting a personal injury attorney. It seems that only when an ever-increasing number of consumers demand action and accountability will this toy be recalled.
