Dump truck accident ends with serious injuries for woman

Driving a dump truck is something that should only be done if the driver is fully alert and aware of what is going on around the truck. When a driver fails to drive safely or doesn't pay attention to what is going on around the truck, serious accidents can occur. A recent incident involving a dump truck in the District of Columbia left a woman seriously injured.

According to a witness, it appeared that the dump truck driver didn't realize that he had run over the woman. Another witness says the driver dragged the woman while she was screaming. Those screams were described as heartbreaking.

The woman is incredibly fortunate simply to be alive. While she does have serious injuries, being dragged by a 26,000 pound dump truck doesn't always end with the person alive when the incident is over. The woman was breathing and conscious on the scene of the accident. A witness said the woman's legs were run over by the dump truck, which was filled with dirt at the time of the truck accident.

The dump truck driver stayed at the scene after the accident. He didn't provide a comment to reporters on the scene. The dump truck, which is owned by Brad4rd Trucking, was registered to an Upper Marlboro home, but the owner wasn't available.

This woman's life took a horrible turn when she was run over in this truck accident. She will likely have to deal with a lengthy recovery, as well as considerable medical bills. She does have the right to seek compensation for her injuries, which won't take away the pain but might minimize the financial impact of the accident.
